Mark Jacobson

President

Though he wasn’t aware of it at the time, Mark started his career with McFadden & Miller in the late 60’s in high school, drafting structural plans for his engineer dad “Jake” Jacobson, who was by then a partner in the firm. Summers were spent as a laborer on McFadden & Miller job sites, truly learning the business from the ground up!

After college, Mark was invited to join the McFadden & Miller team doing more drafting plus checking shop drawings, manual job cost accounting, etc. – you know, grunt work! After a few years of that, Mark was assuming more responsibilities in both project management and estimating, working his way up the ladder and also gradually earning his own partnership interest in the company.

In 1986, at the ripe old age of 33, with both Mr. McFadden and Mr. Miller having exited and Mark’s dad Jake ready to retire, Mark became president of the company, a position he still maintains today. He acts as chief estimator and director of operations, and changes the occasional light bulb. With 40 plus years’ experience with the same company, Mark is “in charge” and all that that entails.
