Martin “Jake” Jacobson
SENIOR STAFF CONSULTANT
After earning his civil engineering degree @ Montana State College, Jake began his engineering career by blowing beach fortifications in the South Pacific during World War II. Subsequently, he moved to Texas and began building roads for the Texas Highway Department. He quickly changed his focus to the construction of commercial buildings and joined McFadden & Miller in 1956 as General Manager and gradually assumed ownership of the company.
As a design/ build engineer, Jake pioneered many techniques of the emerging concrete tiltwall business in the 60’s, going on to build over 35 million square feet of commercial space, including industrial, manufacturing, office, and retail. His experience, integrity, and encyclopedic knowledge of the commercial construction business continue to be invaluable to McFadden & Miller.
Now retired as company President, Jake remains in an active role as comptroller and corporate consultant. His decades of experience in the Dallas-area commercial construction market make him invaluable as a source of ideas and solutions.
